Overview
More
At 509 meters high, this was the world's tallest building from 2004 to 2010, when the Burj Khalifa in Dubai surpassed it. The tower is reminiscent of a pagoda or a stalk of bamboo and designed to withstand typhoons and earthquakes common in Taiwan. Floors one through five are a shopping center and both the indoor (89th floor) and outdoor (91st floor) observation decks offer a 360-degree panoramic view.

Used to be the world's tallest building, I find it's architecture unique and interesting with elements of feng shui so evident, I was quite amazed that they incorporated these elements in the design. Mostly highend stuff, the basement gets crowded due to Din Tai Fung...More

Amazing view, slightly ruined by foggy day. Really interesting to see how the pendulum works. Probably only spent 30 mins wandering around the observatory.

8th tallest in the world and tallest in taiwan. Amazed with hi speed elevators and view of the city! Went there noon, and no lines (guess the morning hordes were gone and avoided the lunchgoers). Amazed with the damper located at the 88th floor (am...More

The best way to get around is to take the bus or the mrt. Try google maps, we swear by it. Even with the language barrier it's spot on and accurate.
