I think most people think of the Chiang Kai Shek memorial when they think of Taipei. And compared to the CKS it is must less grandeous and far less assuming. But it does have a nice small garden on the grounds that also provides lovely...More

Not knowing a lot about the great man Sun Yat Sen beforehand, it was not very easy to get a good picture of him and his legacy from visiting the small museum located within the memorial hall as the exhibition assumes a lot more background...More

This is an interesting site to contemplate Taiwan's recent history. If possible, try to catch the changing of the guard. It was not too crowded when we were there mid-day.

I just went here for the photo with the Taipei 101 in the background. There is park for people to rest. The soon to be completed Taipei Stadium is on the opposite side of this building.

You can see the changing guard at every hour and also you can see the life of Sun Yat Sen inside the memorial hall. This place is accessible by the Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall MRT.

This is probably on most tours for anyone visiting Taipei and lasts about 10-15 minutes and is worth a visit

Even though it is named a memorial hall, there are exhibits inside the Hall which show case the history of the Republic of China, naturally focussing on Sun Yat-Sen himself. A good place to learn about how the Republic of China was developed

You might have to google, guards finishing around 5pm?
