A peace park wherein memories of those who sacrificed are being kept and remembered by its people. Its a place where they remember that freedom cost lives.

A museum dedicated to the victims of the dark past of Taiwan lacks sufficient translation for non-Taiwanese to fully appreciate. What is available in English, one can hear the pain and anger to the massacre. Purchase the English book in advance to be able to...More

Important place to visit to understand Taiwan better. But the order of events was not presented clearly. Nothing much for children to do.

I believe it is great to have a 2-28 memorial museum, especially for a city that has a whole memorial hall for the man who is responsible of 2-28 "incident". It is fine to go there and know a bit more about what happened. However,...More

This is a must place to visit if anyone wants to learn about democracy and human rights. Commemorates an important history of Taiwan that was long suppressed to discuss.

This small but powerful historical museum documents a tragic incident in Taiwanese history. Bring your passport for a free audioguide, which you'll definitely need. The surrounding park is lovely. Admission is 20 ntd.

I really wanted to learn about this period of Taiwanese history but I couldn't since it was all in Chinese. I was given an English audioguide but only the first room had any audio. It stopped once I continued the tour.
