A place of rich culture and historical value

Take some time to look at the effort put in to set up this place and learn a little about the bei tou hot springs

This museum is next to the hotel we were staying; so makes it convenient for us to pay a visit. It is used to be a Japanese onsen hotel, and now it hosts tea rooms (where Japanese tea ceremony can be held), a restaurant serving lunch/afternoon tea, and displays works for local artists. The staff there is very helpful in... More

Although a little bit inconvenient to arrive on foot (especially in the summer when it's burning hot), the museum is a definite must-visit places in taipei. The atmosphere was just so surreal. We felt like we were in a japanese countryside. The museum is very well kept, staff are very friendly and helpful. The afternoon tea set is highly recommended.

A must-go place when you are in Beitou. The museum tells you about how Beitou came to be known for its hotsprings, etc. There is also a tatami area for everyone to take a rest at.

Quite interesting to visit this museum as normally I don't really enjoy visiting museum as it can be heavy & boring for me some time but totally not this one. It's surrounded by green, non aircon & open concept so you could feel the fresh air from the green field too. Visited on a light drizzling day was nice to... More

This is a very small museum the subject of which is, er...itself. The building used to be a hotel and now features an exhibition on Japanese tea ceremony. The building is Japanese style, and interesting as far as it goes. That said, you can probably satisfy your curiosity in thirty minutes or less. However, don't miss the chance to have... More

A bit up in the hills and not much to see. If you're lucky, you might be able to catch a free tour of the museum but it will most likely be in mandarin. They do have a cafe and the ambiance makes it a nice place for lunch or afternoon tea.

The museum itself is not so many things to see but they provide some culture lessons which seems quite interesting. The restaurant inside was good, nice food with good view. If you want to have lunch there, go earlier cuz after 2 o'clock they only service afternoon tea. The mini bus from metro station to the museum is not so... More
