It was a Wednesday I visited and the place was almost deserted. I think i met the above reviewer on the same day and share some sentiments. Very quiet and only 1 exhibit on. I was lucky and met one artist. I think it might be best visited when something is on. It is a cute neighbourhood with old winding... More

went here on a Wednesday and only 3 studios were open - one was post it notes that visitors could write on and the other two were subpar. Interesting buildings, but no real art scene, then again, the Taipei art scene is rather dead at this point. Not worth a visit unless you are in Taipei for a period of... More

Very unique setting, online articles said this is a government rebuilt project that turned old decrepit housing into an artist commune. Looks like Brazilian favela minus the violence. I thought it was quite well designed and organized, lots of signs telling you where the artists/houses are. Outside each house there's a sign that tells you whether you can go in,... More

Artists were very welcoming and showed us their work in their workshop. We had a great time here. I would really recommend going here! Better art then at the creative park.

Very few artists were open on a Thursday. We enjoyed the walk but went for the art and saw very very little. We would go back but only on a weekend.

I have been to Taipei for a few times, I planned for an artsy cultural trip this time round. I typed 'art Taipei' in Google and found this place. It was not an easy find, and not near a metro station at all, but it was worth all the walk. If you don't want to waste time or energy walking... More

This area has a temple but I think the most amazing part is the village nearby. It is an old village where a lot of local artists set up their show rooms here. It has a nice river view which makes the village a bit more nostalgic. You can spend your time in the night market nearby afterwards.

If you looking for something unique in Taipei (not temple and museum), this hill may be your place. You can walk along the hill, step up the stairs and go down for the park and the river view. Interesting wall graffiti and wall painting will give you a new energy and inspiration. Recommend this place on the nice weather day.

We certainly did--and we quite enjoyed the climb up Treasure Hill. We also liked the break for snacks. In addition to the art on display here, nature has a nice display of its own. Kids can run around here too. Everyone we saw seemed to be having a good time.

This place inside with a long history and before visiting this place you should be well prepared to know. The former village for those retired soldiers and the Taipei cultural bureau strike hard to preserve this place for local art and successfully change this place with a very vibrant culture. This place inspired me a lot.
