The home was interesting, and surely a contrast with the Pres. Palace in Saigon (now Reunification Palace). Saigon was modern architecture; CKS a more traditional home. Saigon had a lawn; CKS a park with neatly trimmed bushes, numerous flowers and a pleasure for the eye.

There's nothing much to see there. Flowers are pretty sparse and just a few pavilions. If you are in the area and just want a walk through it's ok to go, but I would not make a special trip there.

A park in the heart of the city. There are lots of beautiful flowers and good places to take pictures.

This is a well designed walking tour of the surrounding park as well as the CKS residence is provided.

Chiang Kai-shek (CKS) is said to be the Man Who Lost China, but he dkid not lose Taiwan. He made Taiwan into a prosperous, stable democracy. His home is quite fascinating. Few visitors saw it whle CKS was alive.

The gardens at CKS's residence are beautiful, and there's a cafe on the grounds. You can see a couple of his old cars on display, his private chapel and all of his private gardens are free for you to roam around in. It's a huge garden and is really more like a botanical garden. Many different areas to see, from... More

The price is free to visit the garden which was very nice. I think it was$10 admission for the inside of the house or less. The place they lived in was extremely nice and there is a recorder which you can listen to the descriptions of things they did in each area of the house. The experience was very unique,... More

I loved our visit here, I just wish I had more time to explore. Lovely gardens. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the Soong Sisters which made our visit here even more special. Be sure you borrow a headset from the front desk of the residence as the stories you will here will really make this a special place.... More

This place is very well maintained and is pleasant enough to wander around. The gardens are free to explore but the house costs 100TWD per person and has been painstakingly looked after. The somewhat over officious staff make sure everyone follows the rules inside, which includes no photos, something that I really do not understand here. Anyway, descriptions of the... More
