the gate is somewhat hidden in a humble park with some interesting trees. you are just far away enough to be out of the noisy traffic. My highlight was enjoying a beer (35NT!) on the historic city wall. i noticed the gates are closed often......More

It is good for a few photos but it probably won't keep you interested for more than 20 minutes. Not a good place for disabled people or anyone with a stroller.

A french-inspired fort gate that would have been something more inspiring if it was original (not reconstructed) and in its original position (it was relocated from another part of town).

Landmarks of Tainan. Worth a visit and pictures. The Firing ceremony in the afternoon is interesting. Outside the walls is one of the most famous special restaurants in Tainan.(Wu-Jiao Chuan Ban,means 5 penny restaurant.)
