A beautiful small serene Hindu Temple for Durga Devi (known here as Bharahi ) is in the midst of a beautiful lake of clean water. Situated in the City of Pokhara, Nepal, the lake has great settings with the mountain-range in the background. There are coats , rowed by qualified persons to take you to the temple. There are kiosks which supply life jackets to the visitor for a nominal cost.
The temple is , as in most of the places in Nepal, of Pagoda style. Reasonably big area with well grown trees , the temple presents a cool place to worship and relax.

This place is a tourist destination, a beautiful structure and a place of worship and reverance all in one. I found it fascinating!

Spent about 30 minutes here as organised by our tour company. Beautiful temple and very ornate. Extremely busy that day with many large tour groups vying for space, not only with each other but the pigeons, too! There are hundreds of them, dive bombing from all angles!

Sadly, the weather was not on our side that day - overcast and no view of the mountains. Probably wouldn't visit again.

A modest Hindu Temple on Lake Fewa, you can take a calm row out either with a hired driver or not.
With driver & 15 minute wait, its 710Rs.
Life jackets are required.
If Hitchcock's The Birds freaks you out, note that the complex is inundated with pigeons.
And yes, Google Maps is correct: there is a floating public toilet

The temple itself is simple. The main attraction is the fact that it is in the middle of the Fewa lake and with weather permitting stunning views of the nnapurna

Great food which is inexpensive and suitable for all as there's a wide variety. Alcohol is a bit expensive in most places.

Pokhara has an amazing vibe with lovely twisting, winding streets full of tiny little shops.
