I do like the lake with the boats and the walking trail along the lake. It's just over commercialized for our taste. The garbage seams a problem almost everywhere in Nepal. Pokhara itself is very clean compare to rest of Nepal cities. So why they can not keep there best attractions clean? Maybe someone can answer that.

Fewa Lake is a large tranquil body of water with many people taking the opportunity to enjoy the boats and paddle boats on the lake. There is a great walking path, so easy to make ones way around the edge. Stalls, restaurants line a lot of the lake and there are many places to stop, relax and soak up the... More

I loved this lake and stayed in a hotel overlooking it. It's colours changed from misty grey mornings, to blue skies and snowy peaks during the day, to wonderful sunsets in the evening. It's so peaceful to walk along, with chilled-out cafes en route, and boats to hire to row across the lake. A stunning setting.

The Lake is very big and can have a very good long boat ride, quiet relaxing, they also provide a safety jacket. There is a temple in centre , good to visit same.

Get there at Sunrise. Very peaceful beautiful lake. Then walk to the far end of the trail . . A left off the dock . . Locals fishing, kids washing there hair in the lake, and a very large multi purpose field where kids are playing soccer, practicing boxing, etc.

Nice lake to hire a boat out for the day. It's really tranquil and the morning mist creates some great photo ops. Nice to just boat out to the middle for lunch and see the pagoda from a distance. It's easy to get one by the lake bank. Also the little eateries round the lake are worth stopping by for... More

If the weather is good, this is the exact place you should go to boat and enjoy the tranquility of the surrouding snow mountains. We loved the boating and the boat man, though couldn't speak English, was still very nice and friendly by showing directions of each attractions!

I took a boat ride across the lake on my way to the World Peace Pagoda and wished it had taken longer due to the serene nature of the lake. Not a motor of any kind to disturb you or the peace and quiet. You can take a boatman or just go solo and enjoy your time. Visit the lake... More

This is an amazingly beautiful Lake set in the second largest city in Nepal. We rented a boat and set out to the island to see the temple. Water appears to be very clean and the surrounding area makes for a perfect day.
