Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Currently, Sep-Oct2022, vehicle traffic in Pokhara Lakeside is once again loud, crowded, fast and dangerous, particularly the motorcycles.
In 2018, a Walking Street was established on Lakeside Road from Hallan Chowk to the other main boat landing and bus stop (between the bus stops where local busses are not permitted). That was a long time coming and long overdue. It greatly added to the attractiveness and pleasantness for tourists and businesses alike. (see my review in 2018).
Now, post - Covid, the walking street has disappeared and the traffic is a horrible insane mess, especially in the evening. Please! Restore some sanity!
Also, speed bumps are needed near crosswalks, particularly in North Pokhara near Hallan Chowk. There is not a single speed bump until Bakunde, a couple of kilometers further, where there is hardly any traffic!
I have been coming to Nepal for over 30 years. I now normally come here twice a year as a tourist, usually for a month or more each time. But this trip was an unenjoyable and intolerable experience because of the traffic volume and noise! I could hardly wait to take my flight out of the craziness.

The lakeside has a number of fancy restaurants lined up along the main street, so there will be no shortage of food options. The quality of everything here is magnitudes higher than Kathmandu, even the little convenience stores had some good produce and snacks. You can take a small boat to the island temple which will give you a nice view.

The people who are providing services to tourists in Pokhara Lakeside are so friendly. The prices for services and goods are fixed. No haggling and rip off intention among them. The boulevard are clean and wide with good lighting during the evenings and nights. Water smell is the smell of clean fresh Himalayan water.

Horrible experience in Pokhra Nepal. If you go to Nepal, Pls don't walk during the night.
I have visited Nepal on 14th august 22 and My brother has been attacked by locals during night at 1am and he lost his vision as well. They are horrible.

Lakeside is a very chill place to recover from adventures in Nepal. It's a great place to shop for souvenirs as it has much less pressure than Thamel. Sitting by the Lake watching life go by is great therapy. The choice of food outlets is vast

Nice area/scenery, but could be kept a bit cleaner and nicer looking along the path. Boating options are many, but a bit over-priced. We were 2 Nepalis and 1 bideshi living/working in Nepal - but they still made us pay the bideshi price to rent a boat for the day - ridiculous and just plain greedy. But so nice to relax on the boat in the middle of the lake with drinks and snacks we carried with us - and slowly row around when we fancied it.

pick your time and just go; you can sit in a cafe, walk along the lake, boat for 30 minutes or 1 hour and enjoy the colors of the boats, the mountains and the trees.
