One of the best place to hang out on Begnas lake. Deck by the lake, great grill fish with the stunning view. One can enjoy boating, swimming and sun basking. Typical stay no more words to describe. Will be there soon again

I had been to this lake couple of times and every time I visit here I find it very different. Calm and peaceful. In terms of facilities (restaurant and cafe), you won't find it delightful as compared to lakeside while boating at Fewa lake. It has its own uniqueness and features. It lacks place to sit and enjoy the view though.

Way over rated. Noisy motorbikes. Crass architecture. The city centre is like Delhi. When the smog clears you can see some peaks but the air is pretty dirty..

I have had mixed feelings, when i find myself being intimated. I do not like to mention what happened, may be if you like then you can view my past reviews about what did happen and who be responsible for. I wanted to stay on peace and in silence, so Begnas Lake was there for me. Being on the center of lake, viewing Himalayas, though ive seen best of them from Machhapuchre Base Camp, when i was on solo trip to ABC trek from renowned tour agency, but i ended with disappointment at very last moment. I don't know what went wrong when i was writing, i had taken picture of my past review to send to Mr. Ganga when i believe it was posted. Later came to know it was not successful and had to draft again....may be that's the reason, it got posted twice. I cannot express what that be like and i would even write the same thing 10 times if i have to, only the female can understand it..

Begnas lake is 3rd largest lake in Nepal and a 30 min drive from lakeside. It’s very popular with locals who can be seen having great time with family and friends.
There are places to eat and drink adjoining lake some with beautiful views.
It’s very well preserved and clean with effort of locals and government.

If you consider it as a side trip from Pokhara, you should think twice. It's not worth your time and money. Nothing special. Dirty restaurants. Nearbay coffee plantation was a complete dissapointment.

Most people pitch up and just sit on a bench and see the lake and then head back to the tea stall. You cant walk around unfortunately but its worth walking the whole bit till the end. At that point there are better views from a little restaurant which has seating right by the water. On the way you'll see a little red boat looking like a Volkswagen. I went because I wanted to swim and was told it was not possible. But people were swimming so for those of you keen on open water swimming know its there! I gave an average because I didnt get to swim and just to sit and hang around wasn't worth the drive back from Pokhara.
