Sams bar is a good place to sit with friends, drink beer and listen to music. Servers are fast, friendly and efficient. Probably the most popular bar in Thamel among foreigners.

Very friendly owners and staff, the Austrian wife is the bartender and the husband a Nepalese body builder. Ice cold beers, good sized shots, good canned music and a fun place to hang out. Tucked away on the second floor, and adventure to find but...More

This is a popular bar located in Thamel with trekkers enjoying a rest after a days trekking. It can get over crowded due to its popularity, so if you want to sit out doors, get there early!

This bar has some good tunes, nice atmosphere and the staff are friendly. It's the type of bar that you can pop in or spend the whole evening. The atmosphere is relaxed

Nothing really wrong with it but don't know what the fuss is about. It is a touristy bar like in every other Asian city, nothing special. Kathmandu has much more and better places to offer

The perfect spot to lay back and have a beer. Reggae night every saturday - but good music all week. Also a good place to meet friendly people.

They do not have an entry cost. Also, it would be weird if they had because usually pubs and bars around Kathmandu do not have this system. The prices for the drinks are pretty cheap in comparison to other places around... More
