There lots to see - mostly religious statues and of course, the highlight is the Buddha Museum. One can easily spend over two hours just absorbing the culture and history of Nepal here. An improvement could be made - perhaps more explanation of each object...More

The favorate part in the museum is its Buddhist Gallery,informative,great pieces of arts,the wooden,metal and stone work of buddha,and others. Best of all,it is about the descreption and showcase of Mandala.I paid almost two and half hours to get thru it.Highly recommend it if you...More

The National Museum exhibits in Chhauni, Kathmandu. Its collection displayed is simple, is Great, is refined in numbers, shapes and diversity. History of each piece is explained in English. This place is a must see.

The history and ancient art of Nepal are well preserved here. We can enjoy then just by looking at it. It just takes minutes to reach there from Thamel and place is good to hang out.

According to official website, entry fee for tourist is Rs. 150 (Foreign Countries) and Rs. 50 for (SAARC Countries).
