Maru Ganesh is situated nearby kathmandu durbar square. the temple is dedicated to lord ganesh and mostly visited by hindu devotees on tuesday and ganesh chaturthi .

The shrine of Maru Ganesh near the Kastamandap temple is mostly crowded by the locals as is one of the important Ganesh temples of Kathmandu valley.

Ganesha (elephant headed god) temple is next to Kastamandapa temple, a yellow colored beautiful small temple. It is among 4 main Ganesh temple of Kathmandu, is also known as Ashoka Vinayaka.

Visited the Maru Ganesh , on 2 January 2015. The small Ganesh dedicated temple is located just beside the Kasthamandap , and its full of people , so it cant be missed. No pinnacle on the top of the temple. Worth a quick stop

Yes, it is still standing. It's not a big temple so no damages from the earthquake.
