The studio is absolutely lovely but the teacher threw me off a little. While the space is clean, bright, full of all the equipment you need and accommodating to a full room. The teacher was bossy and loud and unfriendly. She was sarcastic, made snippy remarks, and would get audibly upset if you were even 0.0003 seconds ahead of anyone... More

The studio itself is beautiful. Clean. Simple. Wooden panels and equipped with everything you might need for your practise. The teacher is a little pushy and sometimes continues to repeat herself and is very bossy. In America, yoga is to each their own, and if you are aware of the next position then you may move into at your own... More

Classes in Iyangar yoga here are excellent, taught by Chrissie, a British ex-pat. The studio is light and airy (without being too airy in the winter), located at the top of the building that is home to Himalayan Java, the big cafe that is close to the Garden of Dreams.

I droped in a few Yoga classes last year. Dynamic Hatha and Universal Yoga by/with Nata - she is great! It's a clean und friendly studio. Only the traffic jam you can hear from outside is sometimes a bit noisy and disturbing. But that's why we practice Yoga, to center ourselves and to be able to ignore voices from the... More

I recently spent three days on a yoga retreat with Pranamaya Yoga. I can honestly say that it was the most wonderful 3 days you could wish for. Set in the beautiful Neydo Tashi Choling Monastery, outside of the city, it offered the perfect escape. The teaching was inspiring and we learned so much about the practice of yoga. Great... More

Just awesome really - you don't need a mat - nice fellow yogi's in the room and lovely teacher. Good level of class - not too hard, not too easy. Floated out - just what I needed. Namaste _/|\_

My first yoga retreat and I joined the 3D2N session at Neydo Monastery. Wonderful location and it was my first visit to a monastery (wifi available in the mountains). I have practiced yoga at studios for more than 10 years but have never learned about yoga philosophy, meditation nor Tibetan Buddhism till now. Great experience and the 100% vegetarian-only meals... I am a frequent visitor to Nepal and this is always on my list of things to do. The Thamel and the Patan studio are both inviting and clean and there are always many classes to choose from. The instructors are professional and offer a plethora of knowledge and experience from around the world. I recently did a retreat with... More

Located at the top floor at the beginning of Thamel area. Nice yoga studio, spacious. Mats provided and self cleaned by users after yoga sessions. Teachers were good. Water provided. They sell yoga apparels too. Great coffee 2 floors down!
