Visited boudhanath atupa it was really interesting place and feeling very peace in mind.it is the really nice buddhist aite to visit in kathmandu i really recommend to visit this place.really missing movment.
Beautiful stupa and a highlight and must see in the Kath valley! In addition to experiencing the stupa and all of its levels and prayer wheels, it was interesting to view the variety of people that visit.

An awesome stupa, one of the largest in the world, bang in the middle of Kathmandu. Unfortunately, one does not feel any spiritual energy. It is dead. However, it is lined around the perimeter with some interesting shops and cafes.

Well, both are interesting places to visit.... we did this during the day, but I suppose if you want to visit in the evening then Boudhanath Stupa would be a goof choice as its surrounded by shops, cafe's, Hotel, & with lighting around it could offer a great ambiance.
Regarding a visit to Swayambunath Stupa, its worth visiting during the day as its a tall climb & a good view of the city. Although you may get hassled by the curio sellers. Don't miss the wishing pond & hope your aim goes strait into the pot for good luck...
