The Garden of Dreams, a neo classical historical garden, is situated in the midst of Kathmandu city, Nepal. The Garden's design has much in common with formal European gardens: paved perimeter paths, punctuated by pavilions, trellises, and various planting areas, surrounded by a sunken flower garden with a large pond at its center. It is an architectural landscape that encourages the visitor to stroll around and discover the Garden's treasures from many different vantage points.

A beautifully set garden with lot of fountains and lightings and cafe inside the premises where you can spend 1-2 hrs. even though situated right in the middle of the city, it is very calm and dust free.

This place is more like a decent garden cafe anywhere else, but I guess is a very nice refuge from the immediate chaos right outside the gates. However I don't know why you would come here unless you plan on having some coffee or a...More

Very serene, fresh and nice to have a relaxing afternoon. There is an entrance fee to this place. There is also a cafe in the garden for a drink or two.

Unfortunately, the Garden is only a fraction of what it once was. Fortunately, it is still a lovely respite from the noise and dust of the roads outside its walls. Check out the Lonely Planet write-up - it's spot on. Even sadder is the deterioration...More

The Garden of Dreams is a slightly surreal experience, wandering off the busy main road into a variety of quiet Italian Palace Gardens, where the squirrels run about completely ignoring all the people. It must have been amazing when first constructed by an eccentric Rana,...More

It is more expensive than cafes on the streets, that is definitely. But if money is not issue and you want to escape the dust and sounds from the streets, than it is a good place to do so.
