Poor qualitytravel on railways, put in 3rd class carriages while there were 1st class carriages available - uncomfortable journey

This is an unusual railway and very rarely used by tourists. It runs from Pathankot to Joginder Nagar, though most trains terminate prior to that. If you go to North Bengal make the effort to travel on the DHR affectionally known as the Toy Train. Although I have travelled on all the four mountain rail links, including Pathankot Joginder nagar rail link, but most beautious has been Kalka Shimla Stretch, It overpowers the technical feat of tunnelling in the mountains at that time when it was purely mannual not like Delhi metros drilling machine. the second is Siliguri Darjling strech which is open and wide

This is one of the prettiest train rides you can ever take. There's a superb view of the Dhauladhar range all the way, plus you get to rub shoulders with (or even get sat on by) the local populace.
