The monastery on a hill is the most empathetic place I have ever been. The golden statue of the Buddhist god of compassion is so beautiful and the children who are born in the capital get their names from here. I am so blessed to have been able to experience this place and I know that the people who live here are very lucky to have such a beautiful place to call home.

This place is must visit for me at least once in a year to make offering and seek blessings from the local local deity as I was born in and brought up in Thimphu. Almost all kids who are born in Thimphu and was brought here after 3 days of birth by their parents have to do the same. Am Sure everyone will understand why is it so?

But for Tourist if your are spiritual and is seeking blessings can always visit.
Dont forget to carry your Kabney and Rachu if your are bhutanese. Foreigners i think its exceptional.
