It can be easily missed as it stands in centre of busy down town, surrounded by passing traffic and other buildings around it, are much taller so its not easily noticed

Interesting monument: the bandages and the child signifying the birth of a new nation. Not much else to do here. Have a look at the statue and move on.

You need a guide to appreciate this historical Ugandan Independence monument in the center of Kampala City, otherwise you will certainly miss out on its beauty and its story. Close to Sheraton Hotel and gardens. worth a site visit or stopover for a few photos.

I passed by the Uganda independence monument when heading to the Uganda mesuem, this monument is a true historic masterpiece, there are however no people to explain the symbolic meaning of the child being carried

Near main road below Sheraton hotel. It a one stop spot in the middle of Kampala. A historical story is told to bring meaning to the monument.

This is located in the center of Kampala. Though, people quite often see this near to the roundabout, there is another Independence monument located nearly one Km away from this place. Good to see both.

Not worth a special visit but interesting if you are passing. It is just a monument on a busy roundabout.
