We spent 3 days in The Saloum delta and it is just like a dream. The flat landscape with mangrove forest, rivers and lagunes also give you a unique bird experience. Birds all around the place - in villages, in the forest, and in the mangroves. The visitor is surrounded by egrets, herons, vultures, eagles, gulls, waxbills, weavers, starlings, sunbirds, woodpeckers, kingfishers, hornbills, bee-eaters, and many more.
