This is a stunning landscape, a highlight of our trip to Namibia. I couldn't stop taking photos. We stayed at Boulders Lodge, which was wonderful in every way.

As part of a two week trip to Namibia, we spent 3 days hiking in the NamibRand Nature Reserve with the Tok Tokkie Trails group. This group runs both an environmental camp and a hiking trip program that leads your through the dunes and mountains of the NamibRand. The first day was a short hike into a camp where we... More

Sossusliev was a dreamy world of the elements. Images that you dream about in your minds eye months after the experience. There is a longing to go back and yet fear at the hostility of the environment. This is a land that demands respect and you willingly give it. Beware the heat, drink lots of water and be prepared to... More

The sheer space offered to tourists when visiting Namibia is wonderful. Keeping your eyes open to enjoy nature pays dividends. Highly recommended.

Didn't know where else to place this review. We were staying in Aus during our Namibia self drive and headed to Sosssusvlei. Our hosts suggested the route north C13 - D707 - C27 to reach our next lodge near Sesriem. The D707 was a spectacular two hour drive through an area that had stunning mountains on one side and the... The sun rise over the plains is spectacular to watch. The dunes can be challenging to climb depending how hot it is, but worth the effort! This is a place to bring a good camera and plenty of water and some snacks. It's a full day adventure.

The dunes are amazing, we also did a balloon ride which we'll never forget. Get up early, watch the sun rise and get some terrific pics!

This is the perfect place to relax, and empty your mind. Carefully run, this previously farmland is now probably the most typical area in Namibia.

Absolute paradise. This was our first stop in Namibia and we loved it - we could have spent the entire trip in the Namibrand. If you have a chance to go here don't miss it. Gorgeous dunes, amazing sunsets and sunrises, surprising wildlife, and the pure silence of the desert.
