If You are experienced 4x4 driver then it is OK selfdriving inside the park. If not - take a shuttle at the end.

Beautiful colors. The sky is still really blue here and the sand has this deep orange color. Amazing that any wildlife can survive here because of the heat. Take plenty of water with you.

We will be coming back to this desert again and again. It is an amazing visit. Peace, quiet and beautiful scenery. Definitely bringing peace of mind.

From Windhoek drove aprox 8 hours through the Namib desert. Was not sure what to expect. Sparse desert punctuated by small villages surrounding a spring/oasis. The highlight was the deep red sand dunes- like walking on to a set of Star Trek- I swear Kirk...More

An excursion through the desert requires shading from a large hat, sunglasses, a good supply of water and a car that does not get stuck into the soft sand. Especially the sunglasses are recommended when going to the Deadvlei white clay fields.

I have been stalking Instagram photos from Namibia for months in advance of our visit. And as amazing as the photos are, they can't hold a candle to the majesty of the desert in person. Wow. Just wow.

One of the highlights is visiting Dead Vlei, do it so early as possible because of the heat. Take some water with you. And enjoy the surrealistic landscapes with the orange and brown dunes under a clear blue sky and on the shiny white floor...More

Spectacular landscape and a surprisingly varied selection of wild life to see. Great fun in 4x4 vehicles along the coast and over the amazing sand dunes.

We first entered the Namib desert when headed towards Ludritz and have been to several other parts since. It is really breathtaking and has so much to offer in terms of landscape and wildlife. Truly amazing.
