The Mesquita da Baixa is a beautiful immaculate building in the old part of town ("a baixa"). Built at the end of the 19th century, the mosque and its 6 minarets have been regularly maintained and restored. It belongs to the Pakistani Muslim Association. Still...More

very beautiful masjid recently been renovated, a place with more than 100 years in this city,mostly visited by all foreigners located in the centre of the town

After a stressful trip from Boane, I needed to observe my solaat and the closet mesquita from where I dropped was this beautifully designed ornamental masjid. You have to be more focused not to lose concentration.

I'm not really reviewing the Mosque itself but the small restaurant on the same building (a couple of doors away from the main entrance). No doubt that Maputo is a great place to eat and that it's easy to find good food but this restaurant...More
