Tamarin is a stunning bay, overshadowed by a glorious mountain. The sand is good and there is a strong chance you may see the odd dolphin! The bay can be accessed from resorts in Wolmar (particularly Maradiva and Sands) by walking along the beach and...More

Tamarin Beach is located near the coastal village of Tamarin, in the western part of Mauritius. This is one of the many beautiful beaches of Mauritius situated in the district of Black River.

Clean yellow sandy beach. See dolphins and fish. Wonderful location, hidden gem. Quiet beach. Good for body boarding, surfing. Water sports. Water skiing. Boat trips to see the dolphins. Swimming and collecting shells.

Lovely long and open beach area but parking is a bit of a problem, besides swimming with the dolphins, not much else to do if you looking for more. Swimming is great as well

It's an incredible experience to swim with the Dolphins in the open Indian Ocean. We went with a Boatman Called Gino, who and his team ensured that we had an once in a life time experience.

Hi - what is the best time of the year to visit Tamarin Bay?

Response from David S |
I was there in the last week of July. Winter!! Beautiful sunshine, warm water, lots of swimming. I guess summer may be hotter and more humid. Coming from the UK, I think their winter will be beautifully warm for you.
