We stumbled upon this museum as we were on another outing. Though things are not yet perfect here it was a delightful experience. I think we will take friends when they visit next month

Went to the National Museum with an old friend from Abu Dhabi as our first point of call on our Accra tour. It was an embarrassing site. The building is supposed to have been locked up for renovation about three years ago. There was absolutely...More

To be honest, my experience here was disappointing. I have visited many museums globally, but it was hard for me to tell exactly what was being showcased in this one.

Aside the old relics found in this national museum there is so much history to dig out. For those still in their youthful years my piece of advice is for them to pay a visit to this place. There is a narator/tour guide to send...More

I know you have to adjust expectation to where you visit but this is very poor. Don't bother visiting. The gallery was closed when I visited but you can tell from other exhibits it is a national embarrassment

The museum was closed for renovations when we got there, but someone still allowed us in to look around. There was no work going on. There was barely any artefacts on display. The building is extremely small. Hardly museum quality. They said they would be...More

It's worth a visit to learn about Ghanas history, even though it's not splendid in any way. A museum like many others. The museum is closed for renovation, hopefully it will be open soon and more developed.

The museum is closed for renovation. I went all the way only to come back as it is closed. There is no information when the same will be open. My suggestion will be call and confirm before going.
