Nice beach close to Accra

The beach is pretty nice and if you are lucky with the current you can have a swim without any plastic bags!

Kokrobite is an excellent break from the hustle and bustle of Accra - you will certainly feel more relaxed as soon as you arrive. However, the beach (like all of them in Greater Accra) is pretty littered with trash and waste - and the water is not known to be particularly hygienic, either. You should also use common sense and... More

One of the along the coast of Ghana. Not the best but does get a lot of people walking along the shores and a few jumping in the ocean. Some surfers doing their thing. Great sunset of course. Not my favorite beach.

Kokrobite beach is well known but not such a nice beach. The sand is not great and the beach is often dirty, and sometimes crowded. There are several restaurants and small stalls/shops there, which (maybe) is part of the attraction (certainly Krokobite Gardens restaurant is a gem). But otherwise, unless you are looking for a surf spot, there are better... More

During my many times in Ghana Kokrobite beach never became my favourite. It's ok but for me it's just another beach. It lacks the feeling that Labadi beach has, even thooug it offers cleaner water. During the week it's almost deserted.

Been there few times but never fell in love with the place. Just don't understand what people like on it. It's very good place to have a party and drink, but in terms of beaching is nothing exceptional. Bojo beach nearby is better option. Or head further west to Tills No.1 beach.

This is a nice beach in a village about an hour from Accra. There is lots of sand, vendors, and restaurants/drinks nearby. The waves might get a little big and the undertow could be a little strong, but it's our favorite day trip beach from Accra. Mr. Bright also offers surf lessons here. This beach is also an active fishing... More

Second day upon my arrival in Accra, I went to visit this beach. We were a bigger group, had a barbecue and some drinks. It was an amazing experience because the ocean can help you relax. Also, the place is quiet, locals are nice and they don't disturb too much if you are in a group. Make sure to go... More
