Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

One of the few places that offer good photo opportunities in Accra. It won’t take much of your time, but it’s a must-see if you are in Ghanaian capital. And usually pretty much deserted, so apart from a few security guards, the chances are, you’ll have the place for yourself.

I was happy to see it, but the best thing was the beach on the side. The beach is beautiful in its natural state. My driver gave a guard some cedis and he let us walk down to the beach. The beach is the hidden gem behind the monument.
Ghanian people are very proud of Independence Square, I was happy to share in their experience.

It’s one of the places you should visit when in Accra.
There is a guide on site, who will fill you in on the history of the place.

Visited here in August 2019. I didn't climb to the top as there was a fee. Took photos in the square like all other tourists. There isn't much else to do here.

I attended a concert there and it was amazing. Jermaine Jackson, Michael Jackson's brother came on stage and spoke to all of us and had a great personality.

This is like the Ghanaian version of Eagle square in Abuja, in terms of both size and architecture. You get flags everywhere and some noteworthy monuments. No significant activities were taking place when I visited....and the place is quite littered.
