Been planning the trip for about 3 weeks, after making the booking through Bigfoot Safaris and Tours in Gaborone, we eagerly traveled the 260km (100km gravel/sand) to Khutse. Unfortunately we couldn't get the same campsite for 2 consecutive nights as all camps were already booked...More

We stayed here for 6 nights and in that time only saw 5 vehicles! There had been plenty of rain in February and March so the grass was high so you only saw animals on, or very close to, the tracks or at the pans....More

the camping facilities are very nice and well kept, the area - if you like the Kalahari - is very pleasant, you'll see quite some game including elephants and you may be lucky spotting a lion as well

Most people recommend 4x4 vehicles to access Khutse Game reserve and Central Khalahari Game Reserve, I must say you can make it even without a 4x4, if you are renting a car, 4x4 can be expensive, if you are on a budget holiday, just get...More

They seem to want you to have reservations, but the people I was traveling with (who had lived in Botswana) couldn't figure out how to make those required reservations. We went, were told we couldn't have a reservation. They were "full". There were no other...More

The is a great getaway with family and/ or friends. Its great during summer because winter the coldness of the wild can be aggresive. There are some entertainment spots far from wild animals. Its is a breather as its far from the cities and towns....More
