This is a really interesting place to stop and take in the scenery and anthropological history of this site. There is an undercover area that is suitable to have a picnic lunch in. Good toilet facilities on site. An informative talk is given by one...More

Had a very good lecture from the Rangers which put its significance into perspective. Did not go into the Gorge but viewed it from the top. En route from Ngorongoro to Serengeti it is conveniently placed for a break- with toilets.

Nothing too elaborate, but an interesting lecture about the Leakey's work, simple displays that explain the meaning, and sited above the gorge, itself. Worth a couple of hours enroute between the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Reserve.

An interesting, historical speech is provided by the onsite experts, but there isn't much to see here. The onsite museum while interesting doesn't provide much to hold your interest.

On the way from the ngorongoro crater to the Serengeti you should stop here to get an imagination of the history of mankind.

Must see. The views were spectacular and the guides gave us an entertaining account of the interesting history of the excavations. The museum was informative, but could be improved given the wealth of interesting facts.

We stopped here at my request. The safari operators are aware of the sight, but don't push people to see it. I'm glad we did. There is a small but informative museum and an interesting lecture delivered every day. The site offers great views and...More
