The promenade and beach area is being redeveloped and upgraded to have underground parking, glossy new bars and clubs with some relocating to the new harbour area. A huge sandy beach and a vast promenade with an area set aside for children with a [play park and commercially run toy cars, pony rides etc at the weekend. very popular place.

Whatever they throw at it, the main beach in Tanger has a natural beauty that remains. It's a wide, horseshoe beach with soft yellow sand, where the locals like to stroll, play football and bathe in the summer. Don't expect to don a bikini and not get stared at though - Agadir would be more suitable for that. From nothing... More

We rode camels along the high edge (cliff?) of the beach and could see the Mediterranean and the tranquil, sandy eslpalade below. It was nearly deserted, but we were informed that it would be wall-to-wall people soon, as the Eid was approaching. I felt fortunate to see this beautiful landscape, from a camel, no less, in a near vacant state.... More

This is a good beach to have a walk by sunset. The people are very welcoming and helpful. You should select a hotel close to thus beach.

Great place to walk in the morning or evening. Avoid on hot scorching afternoons. Some playground equipment for adults and children. Camels waiting to give tourists a slow ride.

Definitely one of the best beaches that I've ever been on. So many beautiful views of the city and the seaside

Not really a beach you can unwrap and enjoy due to culture, so fine for a walk along . I think it's nice at night with the lights along the coast line. Wouldn't walk here on my own as a woman I'm afraid it doesn't lend itself to being that relaxed but it is still a lovely coastline.

Good place to walk, or run. Nice to get out of the Medina and Kasbah and noise of all the activity. The Promenade is under construction but does not interfere with the experience. We did not swim though there were people swimming.

Walk by the beach is lovely, the view is amazing, and from the Route de la Plage Mercala you can see untill Spain. The beach is really lovely, and it was quiet that this time of the year. We had a lovely day there with the family.
