Fascinating and important history not taught in American schools. Interesting historic documents. Beautiful historic building. Lovely watercolors by local artist downstairs next to where you pay entrance. Located in the Kasbah.

We walked into the anteroom of the Legation, but couldn't get too much farther without paying a fee for a guided tour. Since it was a budget trip, we declined.

Particularly interesting to see the historical connection with America. Beautiful rooms, gives you a feel for Tangier in different time periods.

Great history lesson and adds to the Tangier experience. We didn't realize the relationship between the US and Tangier. There are some interesting stories and literary history.

We expected to spent about 30 minutes at the museum but had to rush out after 45 to check out at our hotel. Interesting place with a lot of interesting facts written on the walls.

The United States' first overseas mission - opened in 1777 - the American Legation is a must-see. Great historical documents, maps, furniture and a tribute room to Paul Bowles. LOVE IT. Oh, and did I forget to say that I LOVE IT?

Morocco was the first to recognize the USA as a country. The history is long. This is the first publicly owned American property outside USA.

Old monument sending you directly to 50's when the city had an international status. Well maintained located in the hearth of the casbah
