I really enjoyed this visit to El Qoubba Mosque. It's a hidden gem tucked in the middle of Rabat. Nice surprise and well worth a visit if you have time. Hint : camera, suitable footwear and clothing , water, a guide is useful

Normally you feel like all mosques look alike. This one is different from several respects. First it is truly a local location tucked into a little side streed. Next it is an octaginal shape and you do not see the often. Definitely worth seeing.

Tucked in a side street this nice mosque a very unusual minaret: octagonal, tall, slender, made of blond sandstone elegantly carved. The porch vaulting over the street is also worth noticing.

In the middle of the Medina, the area is more for locals, at least was when I was there, early morning. Nice buildings, old but well preserved. Liked the old gates. A good place to see.

This is one of the best areas of Rabat, this area still has people living in it. It is close to the sea, we enjoyed walking through this beautiful village.
