This was our first stop on our first full day in morocco. Walking the narrow allies and learning some history was delightful. All the roaming cats took some getting used to, but certainly understand they serve a purpose.

We liked this old town district but it''s not the most fascinating area to visit if you are visiting Rabat for touristic purposes.

This was quite fun to walk and stroll and take pictures and just observe Rabat life around you. People were everywhere when we went as it was around 4 to 6 pm. It was just a super late afternoon people watching experience.

That is not a typo, this is an area where you should take your time and just wander. You will really get a feel for the way of life in this city. There is a lot to see and enjoy.

You don't need to spend anything: most visitors seem to enjoy wandering and people watching. If you want to stop and do this from a cafe, don't expect the prices to be high. Just enjoy!
