This is a pretty average medina. It is not as busy, big, colorful, or crazy as others. It is sufficiently interesting and easy-going, particularly if you have not experienced more colorful (Chefchaouen) or crazy (Marrakech) medinas. The large square is a less crowded and less...More

We spent about an hour touring the medina as a group. The streets are narrow, there is a fantastic variety of shops, and quaint wooden porches above doorways. We saw silver thread being hammered into iron bowls and learnt something about Berber designs. Very informative.

We spent 15 days touring Morocco and went to all of the large cities and their Medinas. This was by far the worst. All of the others were lovely but the only reason you’d head this way is to see the Roman ruins at Volubilis....More

If you have plenty of time then you could visit here to do something. Buildings can be worth a look at.

Khalil has been a wonderful and helpful guide, we trusted him and lucky for us it turned out very fine. Actually, this guide was excellent. He showed us all around the Medina, and explained things along the way. His English was pretty good, he was...More

Over 90% of the stuff in sold in these Medina's is fake. The salesmen are very clever, and will convince you that you are getting a bargain for what is really a piece of fake trash A complete waste of time, unless you do it...More

Meknes is a lesser-known city today, but in its heyday it was an important imperial city. It has extensive city walls, a huge granary and royal stables.

Without a doubt every Medina is different, but Meknes was strange! Our accommodation was in the Medina, and just getting there was a horribly expensive undertaking. First up we tried to park and then found out we couldn't stay there over night. We had grabbed...More

Comparing it to other cities we have visited. It's quieter and more laid back over all. But in comparison with Fes, we think Fes has more shopping options

This town is great for shopping. The prices are lower than the rest of Morocco and they are willing to bargain with you. I purchased a beautiful large painted tagine for 220 dirham, which is much less than what they asked for similar pieces in...More

Hello, Khalil is temporary working by the town Museum and Ahmed has his own horse carriage company just in front of Bab Mansour and it is called HAMEDEO SULTAN. COCO was the horse name of the carriage we use.

Yes I only spent half a day there and then went to Volubilis which is also worth doing. If you have a car it only needs an hour or so to visit.
