Neat to see the produce and food stands around. Otherwise is a fairly good place to hang out just across from the gate. There are some restaurants that will try to entice you to dine but none were aggressive. There is a bank at the...More

This is so awesome ! Not as crowded as the one in Marrakesh, not by a long shot. But no hussle. You just walk your merry way and enjoy. Loving it !!

It appears similar to Jemaa el Fna in Marrakesh. We visited on a Friday at 2:30 PM & likely due to Friday prayers & the heat there was not much happening

The square is lined with souks and cafés we did not dare try. There are monkeys and donkeys and snakes and ostriches, but you wonder why. There are beggars ans hawkers and policemen chasing young boys away. We bought nothing.

Nice to explore - much less hectic than the squares and souks in Fez and Marrakesh. Be sure to go down the sidewalk at the south corner and then walk through the covered market.
