Bab El-Khemis Gate is nothing more than that - a gate. If you're in Meknes you will be driving by anyway so you might as well stop for a photo-op. Nothing much more to it.

This is a photogenic gate in the outer wall at the entrance to the old walled city of Meknes. As others have mentioned it is more of a five minute photo op. Meknes has a number of gates along its inner and out walls. It...More

Often closed, frequented by tourists and nice to look at. But that’s it. There are many other things to look at and do.

Not much to do here, it is mostly a 5 minute photo op. Good luck trying to get a picture of no people or no cars. It's very busy and please watch when you cross.

Beautiful gate and architecture. Close to the bus station. Try and visit during the day, we were here at night and there lighting is poor, hence our photos were sadly not great.

This entrance to the walled medina is very lovely and very decorated. You wouldn't go to Meknes and not stop for a photo here.

So beautiful!!!! The architecture is unreal. All the holes in the walls is for the scaffolding so they can restore the walls.

Located near the bus station where you find plenty of parking. My favorite was the number of old Mercedes parked near by.

One of the free "attractions". Beautiful architecture and the location and nearby park are a good spot to relax and watch the locals. Generally very safe area at night as there's always cops and people around. Beware that the green zone between the two lanes...More
