While not so close to the usual sites for a tourist, we are really glad we made the effort to find the Mosque Sidi-bel-Abbes. The disabled and blind still congregate here and the house for the blind is still operating to help them. By default rather than by our own decision we ended up being shadowed by a local who... Like all the other mosques in Marrakech you have to be muslim to visit. So it is not possible to get in otherwise. Therefore it is not worth planning to go there unless you are muslim.

The mosque was ok on the inside. The Guardian of the mosque wanted to show around the mosque and in the end he wanted money for him and the blind people who lived there. He asked for 200 dirham which we of course didn't give him. When we didn't give him the money, he got very mad and basically throw... More
