Excellent half-day bus trip from Marrakesh

We travelled to Tnine at the start of the Ourika Valley on the no.25 bus in order to see something of the area without the hassle of hard-sells perpetrated by the tour companies... read more

We came 300km to visit this garden, only to be told that they were closed for annual leave. Having conuslted their website and another page of attractions in and around Marrakech, without any indication of closure for 3 weeks in August, this was highly disappointing. The welcome by those holding the fort in the absence of the owner was less... More

Wonderful afternoon on local bus (7dh) took us into the real morocco, a further 10-15 minute walk took us to the gate, one hard shove got us into another world of citrus and herbal smells, culminating in a huge pot of mint tea and biscuits for free. Friendly and relaxing antidote to the madness of Marrakech - soaps (40DH) are... More

We took bus 25 to the last stop in Ouirika. Then after 100 yards or so, you will turn left and walk a good ways down a road. After some time you will see the signs. We got there at 1pm, and we had seen reviews where people had lunch there, so we asked about eating. You have to make... More

We had a lovely lunch under an outdoor shelter. Sadly, the server spilled food over two of us -- and those travel outfits will never be the same. Perhaps it was turmeric that stained so badly. sigh. The meal was the ubiquitous salads, tagine, couscous, grilled meats, and fresh fruit. The Nectarone line of botanical products (oils, masks, soaps, etc.)... More

During our journey through Morocco, my wife and I visited the amazing Ourika Valley and spent some time at these beautiful botanical gardens. After a short walk through a medina, we arrived at the green gate of the Jardin Bio-Aromatique Nectarome. As soon as we walked through the gates, we were struck by the lushness of the gardens and the... More

We travelled to Tnine at the start of the Ourika Valley on the no.25 bus in order to see something of the area without the hassle of hard-sells perpetrated by the tour companies and taxis. Bus journey was great, although we were the only tourists on a packed bus (7DH, and they give change readily). At the final stop, just... More

If you enjoy landscaped gardens and natural products this is a lovely garden (and the saffron garden down the road). I had a delicious lunch here so make sure you go at least an hour before lunch so you can book your meal. I found it very peaceful sitting in various shady structures. I would have loved a foot spa,... More

Loved the setting and calm ambience. Did not have enought time there for many treatments but had an incredible foot spa. Very excellent and purchased some oils.
