Nice to see that old portion of the city, but buying anything there is, of course, way expensive as this is the place where pros sell to tourists.

We used our guide book to help us find this market on foot. It was an easy walk from Jemaa el-Fna. This was a much quieter market than the very busy and touristy souks surrounding Jemma el-Fna. It was mostly local people going about their...More

Walked to and fro a few times as it's the best way from the bus station to our hotel which was near Dar el Bacha. It was really interesting to look at the food stalls away from the more touristy souks of Marrakech. We went...More

So much to see! You will be pulled by various members of the market to purchase items so be wary of the attention. Also, lots of fake designer brands if you want to fool your mates..

Walking out of our hotel, Maison Arab, we found thus mini thoroughfare and followed it for a while, Felt like we were in Homeland. The real Marrakech, with butchers, tea, spices, etc.

The Marrakesh market, or souk, winds for seemingly miles through the media. There are many "souks" offering a variety of local and imported products. Beware: much comes from China, so if you are looking for locally made souvenirs, you must go to a reputable shop....More

Take a wander over to this part of the Medina, this is where the locals go for their goods, which means only one thing, decent prices. This gets you away from the hard sell of the souks. Definitely worth walking distance to.
