We enjoyed our visit to this lovely Medursa. The carvings are beautiful and so intricate. A very peaceflu place after all the hustle and blustle of the medina.

Since you can't go in the mosques in Morocco, the medersas are one of the few ways of seeing the religious architecture. This medersa is fantastic. There is a square, with intricately worked decoration all round it. You can also see some of the rooms...More

This koranic school admits non-muslims though it also holds a mosque. It has exquisite cedar wood carvings on beams, doors and screens as well as zellij tile work

Simply the best site we saw in Fez! Get the commented tour from the "hajj" (sage) in a caftan and fez hat. He's very erudite.

You may skip this place if you ever seen Alhambra palace in Granada. It is the same style. By the way, it is a must see in Fez.

what a contrast to the Medina, we were not able to go in, but whether that was because of our guide or something else I do know.

Well worth a visit to see this old school turned mosque. The ornamentation, walls and floor tiles are stunningly beautiful!

Peace and quiet, order, symmetry, elegance and beautiful detailing! A haven in total contrast with its surroundings... Take time to admire the incredible woodwork and plasterwork and colorful mosaics.
