A must see when in Fes, although there is nothing special about the gate itself. There are lots of restaurants around with nice views on the gate.

Basically its an entrance to the old madina. One of the so many gates. But this one is the main famous one.

This is one of the several gates of the old city of Fes. Packed with locals and tourists. Nice place to enjoy local people and their culture. Lots of places to shop and eat.

The blue gate is a quite famous place in Fes. The food on the terraces is reasonable and cheap. The people that try to lure you in are a real pain in the butt though.

The door itself did not impress me much even if it is beautiful indeed but this is the best area of the Medina.

We visited here quite a bit during our month stay. My children loved the medina and the atmosphere overall. We will be back.

You will pass this gate on your way to the Palace. I liked to sit at one of the restaurants, and did some people watching. You are in Fes, smile ;-) look at this big board at the outside of the gate.

This a beautiful monumental Blue Gate that was renovated in 1913 and is the main entrance to Fes El-Bali. It is probably the most famous gate in Fes and is one of the city's most iconic emblems. Fez had various entrance gates and this is one of them. Attractive gate, well maintained. Through the gate a nice view of the mosques/minarettes.
