Quiet and beautiful, one can spend hours sitting in one of the glass walled restaurants watching giant spectacular waves crash against the wall and create little eddies. Sandpipers and other birds feeding on the beach, while sunning oneself with good food and drink

The Corniche is next to the Hassan II Mosque so it is worth taking a stroll. Don’t expect too much. The boulevard is ordinary and waiting for building works to start or complete. Have a stroll on a sunny day.

We walked from the Mosque along the shore and back to the centre of town. Pleasant walk. Construction is on going to create an up market area for the more wealthy Moroccans.

Several places are under construction. Will soon be completely commercialized. I hope care is taken to maintain the natural beauty of the beach.

If you like walking along the ocean (especially on a sunny day), here's the place. There are quiet spots, tourist spots, places to eat, and places to just enjoy the scenery (and being alive). And, of course, it can be free---no entry fee! If you...More
