Many different shops adorn this market, but I'd say there's a bias towards clothing. Brits be warned very little English is spoken, but you can get by bartering. Plenty of souvenir ideas for the folks back at home.

Went here for an afternoon and enjoyed it! This part of town is really nice compared to the rest of casablanca (which is pretty busy and noisy). Shops are the same as everywhere else in morocco but still quite nice overall

One of the great stops in Casablanca. It was a nice walk through the small shops and streets and bakeries.

The Habous district should be part of any walking tour of Casablanca. A bustling, charming marketplace, the area’s gem is Patisserie Bennis Habous, the #1 bakery in Casablanca. Whatever else you do in the area, stop by the patisserie to sample its delicious wares.

if you are going to Casablanca, make sure to pass by Al Habous, it's a kind of old market where you can find traditional things, small shops for clothes, souvenirs and many things.. So the time spent there won't be worthless.. I just need to...More

Friday is prayer day so most of the shops are closed until 3pm. It seems to be an OK area but we found most people were uninterested in helping us

We loved the area and found the market area so much nicer than Old Medina! The best bakery in town - Patisserie Bennis Habbous is here as well .... an absolute must!

Sorry but I've only ever gone to Habous during the daytime. I'm assuming it is the same as the Medina though and things start closing around 8 or 9.
