One of the best trips we have ever taken and over the years we have been around the globe. Experience Morocco excelled in helping to develop an itinerary that tracked with the things we wanted to see and do…. Believe me, there was nothing “canned” about this trip! They provided us with unique, boutique accommodations that exceeded our expectations, from the great food to the staff and to the rooms. Our private guide, Yuseff, was knowledgeable, professional, and made sure we knew how to go out at night and explore on our own without getting lost and we never did! He also took us to local restaurants with great food and atmosphere and made sure we had an authentic experience visiting sites! Our driver, Rachid, was very professional and a very safe and well trained driver who was able to negotiate the craziness of the traffic in Marrakesh as well as the zigzag roads of the Tizi N Tichka Pass Road. He was always there waiting for us when we came out of a restaurant or cultural site with a smile on his face ready to take us to the next event. After 13 day, both Yuseff and Rachid became like family! I would highly recommend Experience Morocco if you are planning a trip to this marvelous part of the world. Thank you Experience Morocco!

Just returned from a week travelling Morocco with Youssef from experience-Morocco as our local guide. Our itinerary included Chefchouen, Fes, the Sahara desert and Marrakech. Youssef was extremely knowledge about Morocco’s history and was able to provide interesting information on all the places we visited. Youssef went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience and was always available when we needed help and to add extra excursions/activities at the last minute. I would highly recommend the team at experience-Morocco if you are looking for a tour of Morocco which includes all of the must sees!

We had the unfortunate circumstance of having our flights cancelled the night before we were set to leave in March 2019 by the flight bans to Morocco.
In spite of Experience Morocco's standing policy and reluctance to issue a credit, with American Express' brokering of a credit deal, we rescheduled for exactly 2 year's later.
It turned out to be one fo our favorite trips.
Experience Morocco were very courteous and professional in providing us with expert guidance through the pandemic measures and moroccan paperwork.
Our 15 day tour took us mainly to the imperial cities, the desert and Essaouira.
Our guide, Mohamed Zahir, could not have been more professional or caring about our comfort, safety and well being. He would follow us on guided day trips (where he could have taken a break) to ward off insistant paddlers and pickpockets of which there were a few, especially in Fes. I can't describe in this short space the examples where Mohamed went above and beyond to cater to our whims and well-being.
We were transported in a spotless, recent Mercedes van with wi-fi and usb chargers. There was always some snacks aboard in case we had the nibbles.
The logistics worked out like clockwork. Our accommodations were all very good. Our tour, which included most meals, took us to top restaurants which we would have issues in booking by ourselves. Chez Pierre and La Maison Bleue were some of the best.
Highlights: Fes Medina, Marrakesh Artisan quarters and Djema El Fna, the overnight desert stay and relaxed Essaouira. The cooking class in La MaisonArabe was also a treat.
Thank you Hajar, our planning contact and especially Mohamed, our dear guide who is now a friend.
We recommend Experience Morocco as a professional and logistically excellent company.

From the very start, Salma helped us create and tweak our itinerary exactly how we liked it. From the pickup and greeting at the airport to the historical tours, the Riads, the restaurants, the medinas, shopping, and food tasting, was perfect. We felt very safe with our driver Reda who went out of his way to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. Our drives across northern Morocco were smooth and enjoyable as we exchanged some great stories and lots of laughter. Our guide Haddou was exceptional! As a linguist, a historian, and an anthropologist, we learned a great deal. His knowledge and warmth made our first-time trip so special and we fell in love with Morocco. We couldn't be more pleased and will certainly return (and look for Haddou) for southern Morocco. We highly recommend Experience Morocco, Haddou, and Reda!

So, I am not one to write reviews often, but when I do, it is due to whether it was a really good experience or a really bad experience. And in this case, this was undoubtedly a horrible experience.
Food: there was no diversity in food options. Except for two nights when my friends and I chose to eat elsewhere, we had tagine food daily for lunch and dinner. It was literally tagine at every single outing we had.
Management: tended to be very stubborn in sticking to their agenda. For example, they were aggressive about us having to buy spices/or shop at stores they took us to. It seemed like they were getting a cut if we bought off the places they recommended. They were also dismissive from time to time, which led to a lack of trust in the latter half of the trip.
Logistics: this one really pissed me off. There were two instances where they could have avoided a logistical nightmare for us but did not. First, they "supposedly" took us to the Sahara desert. However, we did not enjoy any of it (which, thank God, was only one night) due to the sandy weather that kicked in that evening. It was cold and windy, and we could not see the stars or enjoy the night. The only reason I slept like a baby that night was that I intentionally got drunk to avoid feeling the cold night. The following day as we were leaving the camping site, I realized how we were literally a 2 min drive from the road. It was such a scam that they took us when they knew what the weather would be like before that 8-hour drive (one way). And to make it seem like it was the "Sahara" when in reality, it was literally on the side of the road. The other scenario where they mishandled logistics was the hot air balloon. Again a preventative measure. However, they still proceeded to wake us up early and drive 30 minutes, only to find out as soon as we arrived that due to weather conditions (duh!), they could not set up the hot air balloons.
In essence, this company is deeply money driven and dismisses the cultural experience for the guests. Although I went to Morocco, I feel like my trip was a disservice, and I need to go back to experience it again. I would recommend that you search for another travel agency if possible!

Horrible trip. They gave us the cheapest possible accommodations, and we’re dishonest about the quality of them beforehand. We saw how cheap the hotels and meals would have been if we had booked them directly, so they are clearly pocketing a lot instead of giving us what we paid for. They didn’t explain any of the sites as we drove 8.5 hours through the desert to camel riding, which they are clearly getting a kickback for because there was no reason we had to drive that far to ride camels…A lot of the expenses you would think would be included are not, like paying your drivers. They even had the balls to try to charge us for water in the desert….after serving us alcohol. That’s irresponsible if not illegal. The only good parts of the trip were when we were on our own, making our own plans. Do not use this company. I still do not know who is in charge of this trip. The organizers are no where to be found. Every day is a guessing game. The food was awful and not representative of real Moroccan food which is very flavorful.

Thumbs up to Rachid and Experience Morocco. I booked the trip about 5 weeks before I was due in Morocco. I told Rachid generally what i wanted to do. A week, starting in Marakesh, spend a night in the Sahara, visit Fes and end up in Tangier. He put together a couple of suggested itenarries and we went back and forth a bit, I paid and done. I was travelling solo and always felt that the necessary communications were happening behind the scenes for me to get where I needed to go without me having to think about it. Communication was great, I always knew where to go and who I would be meeting. Everyone was always on time. My driver Noureddine took great care of me. He felt a big responsiblity for my safety and happiness. For 5 days we were in the car most all day and we had a great repoire and fun. I told him I had never travelled by myself before and he said, "you're not by yourself, you're with me." I thought that was cute and true!
All of the places I stayed were nice, especially the riads in Maraketh (Houma, shout out to the two brothers that run the place. So welcoming) and Fes (Myra).
Morocco is a great vacation spot, natural beauty, cultural diversity, history and some of the nicest and most friendly people I have met in my myriad travels!

I had a hard time choosing a Moroccan tour company and wasn't 100% confident about my choice of Experience Morocco. I chose them based on the price (not too expensive or too cheap) and on their great website. My husband and I had a private tour. Our driver, Said, was great. He was a great driver, very considerate of our needs, friendly, and helpful. It was great getting to know him and getting to meet his family, too. All the places we stayed at were great. We got to experience quite a bit of Morocco and Moroccan culture. The places we went were worthwhile and the local tour guides were great, too. We had no complaints, though be prepared to be served a lot of tasty food!

We had an absolutely amazing time on our Experience Morocco trip! Rachid is very easy to communicate with. I told him our preferences and interests and he planned a seamless trip! Our wonderful guide Said picked us up from the airport and looked after us every day until he dropped us back off at the airport to return home. He taught us so much about his culture and was responsive to our endless questions. The accommodations were great, the food amazing & the experiences bucket list worth. This is a great company to use if you're considering a trip to Morocco.

My husband and I are excited about booking a 10-12 day private car tour to see the highlights of Morocco. Our interests are in cuisine (I'd love to take a cooking class!), seeing interesting sights, learning about the history and culture, spending a night in the desert and riding camels. For those of you who have done this before, what time of the year would you recommend? We would like to go next Jan/Feb 2019 but not sure how cold it is then. Thank you so much for any tips you can provide us!

Hi Mary,
The best time to Explore Morocco is March, as it is not that cold, and lot of flower.
Regarding the temperature in the Sahara dring this period: between 0C and 8C at night time and 10C to 18C during the day.
Please feel free to contact for further information.
Cheers,
Rachid
