Spent a few hours walking around the outside of the Mosque. Did not go inside. The space outside, views and architecture are just amazing. I wish we'd had more time to do an organized tour, but we were just passing through. It was still worth the stop. Mosaics are incredible and the detail on the large Mosque doors is unreal.

Visited numerous churches, but first time in a Mosque! It was a magnificent experience. It's mandatary to join the Mosque's guided tours, available in different languages. So, check the time of the guided tours in advance. Ticket office is near the entrance of the Mosque, but it's at the underground level.

It costed 800 millions Euros to Moroccan public. It is located on the coast of the Atlantic. I have seen it foggy weather it was really impressive and precious. 100 thousands people can prey in and its garden at the same time. Students, retires, travelers are enjoying times in its nooks/corners...

The only mosque in Morocco where non muslins can get it. A very amazing place, built beside the sea. The sunset view from here is indescribable. If you are at Casablanca you have to take some minutes to visit it. Pay attention to the hours of opening and guided tours.

Even though you might read that it is the largest minaret in the world, seeing is believing. When you stand at its footsteps and look up - you will believe the muezzin may be reaching to the clouds for call to prayer. Beautifully handcrafted with different influences of architecture - whether it be medieval Moorish, or later day - metal... More

Gorgeous, spacious, and built on reclaimed land this is a masterpiece of Moorish architecture. Intricate mosaics and stucco, beautiful marble floors. Be careful of the empty pools; easy to trip.

To be clear, we did not go inside the mosque, but visited the square and viewed the mosque and the minaret from the outside. Visually stunning, absolutely beautiful with the Atlantic Ocean behind it. The square is very impressive itself (HUGE, with scattered pockets of people). We happened to visit around 3pm during a city tour with our Gate1Travel group,... More
