The moment can be seen from almost any location in Algiers, as it is enormous. Visiting the location doesn't add much, but there is a nice cableway going up the hill (20 dinar one way) which is always exciting.

This is a must see museum. A different insight into the french colonial period with impressive testimonials of the occupational period and the independence war.

Quite a memorial, up close it is a lot of concrete but nonetheless impressive. Views are good but you can't get directly underneath due to security access restrictions. The museum for the Martyrs underneath it is really good. I can't speak Arabic or French but...More
