If you've got extra time in Algiers, then spend an hour here. To get here, take the metro to Jardin d'Essai. It's also right across the Musee Beaux Arts.

Walking through the garden was absolutely gorgeous. Looking at the animals was a different experience. They were in such small cages, I'm just not use to that. There was a restaurant there and I had the best salad of my life!

I enjoyed this park much more than the Notre Dame D'afrique. It's truly a lovely park to wonder around in, enjoying the beautiful old trees and indulging in some people watching. Loved, loved, loved the Dracena avenue.

It was a nice, huge garden with many different types of trees and flowers, ponds and sculptures. I wish that they would clean it regularly and take care of it, since this garden has so much potential.

An oasis of peace and tranquillity within the hustle and bustle of city life, outstanding central section of the park with tall palm trees, water feature and well maintained lawn with beautiful turquoise blue waters of the Mediterranean as back drop.
