we camped here for three nights on busy fall weekend at the end of October. The campground itself was busy some campers more friendlier than others. The campsite itself was small but plenty of room as we have a travel trailer that is on the smaller side. The bigger rigs seemed tightly squeezed in some areas. as for the restrooms... More

This park has a variety of trails to run/hike from easy to moderate. I have been going here for 35+ years. Besides trails there are canoes to rent and plenty of places to fish. Great fun for family or just self. Check out the website for maps. Camp grounds get booked early for weekends so plan ahead.

Been visiting this beautiful State Park for over 50 years. Have not yet seen it all. Multiple lakes to fish in. A big swimming beach. Well worth taking the time to visit.

Stay here for a girl's getaway weekend every year. We stay in one of the cabins - nice big screened porch - wood stove - plenty of sleeping places. We did see a little mousey in the kitchen this year. The park has a nice camp store and canoes, kayaks and bikes for rent.

My husband I rented cabin 2 and relatives rented cabin 3 this past weekend and we had a great time. !This state park has several cabins to rent.) Our cabin was clean and had a fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, pots and pans and a outside charcoal grill. Everything else you need to bring(silverware, cooking utensils, charcoal, towels, bedding,... More

We spent two hours canoeing and another couple of hours hiking. In the fall, the Indiana afternoon sunlight takes on a luminous, golden, glowing quality, the kind that impressionist artists love to capture, and it was such a delight to see this light bathing the hills and lakes, and sprinkling through the trees as we paddled the channels. For $10... More

Rented the 4 cabins to celebrate birthdays for "girls week-end". First, the down side: This is NOT a motel. You need to bring everything as if you were camping. LOTS OF POISON IVY around the cabins--don't let kids play off the stone path. The fire rings are not near the cabins. The water is well water and at times can... More

Chain O Lakes is exactly what it says it is. Several smaller glacial lakes that are connected together by canals. It's pretty much a canoe/kayaker's paradise. It's also a nice fisherman's getaway if you have a canoe/john boat setups. To top that off there are some nice trails to walk on. A few of them have wild mushrooms and flowers... More

We stayed for two nights in a family cabin on August 2016. The cabins were very clean and well kept and the nightly rates are very reasonable. The kitchen was great for cooking but make sure to bring your own cooking utensils (forks, knives, spatulas, etc.). Frying pans, pots, and a coffee maker were provided, which was convenient. The park... More

Chain of Lakes is state park about 25 miles northwest of Fort Wayne, Indiana. The Bad--- not well maintained. Restrooms were terrible. Black mold and filthy. The state uses prison inmates to clean up the facilities. They also cut the grass. It has a small store, that's just above not good. This park is in need of a swimming pool... More
