Officially winter is over, but there was plenty of snow in March. Nice trails and visitor center. Some exhibits like the Brig Museum were closed, so we plan to return.

Whitetail campground is a well-maintained state campground. Campground seemed to be popular with large family groups we noticed on evening walk through grounds.

We stopped by just to eat our lunch in the car. Park is really open to skiers this time of year. Went into the visitor center and happily found that both my and my husband's uncle graduated from the same Naval class in 1943. We...More

We love the Gilmore loop. Be prepared to keep your dogs on leash. There are great hiking and biking trails to explore.

The park is great! There is so much to do there. We brought family to see The Brig. Unfortunately, the website did not mention that it closed seasonally. We still enjoyed our visit, short as it was, do to rain.

Lots and lots of tall pine trees, nice large sites easy to get into. Great hiking and biking trails. One of the neatest things to do while you're here is to hike over to the Brig Museum on the park. It tells the fascinating history...More

After a previous stay a couple of years ago we returned here with some family members and booked 3 sites in the Gilmore loop. Sites are huge, no problem getting our 35 foot units into them. 50 amp power and water (no sewer), fantastic restroom...More

This campground is the best I've ever been to, hands down! Such a beautiful place, nice sites, well treed, great boat launch and clean dump stations. Free hot showers. Washrooms were a little dirty, but your camping, not staying at the Hilton. Nice clean beach,...More

We left our tent trailer unattended but always lock up any thing of value in our vehicle. Felt pretty safe in the area.
