The park is great! There is so much to do there. We brought family to see The Brig. Unfortunately, the website did not mention that it closed seasonally. We still enjoyed our visit, short as it was, do to rain.

We were here after the season was over so we didn't get to visit the Brig Museum or take advantage of any of the camping and hiking options. The visitor center was open and we were hoping to see some exhibits or get some books...More

Lots and lots of tall pine trees, nice large sites easy to get into. Great hiking and biking trails. One of the neatest things to do while you're here is to hike over to the Brig Museum on the park. It tells the fascinating history...More

After a previous stay a couple of years ago we returned here with some family members and booked 3 sites in the Gilmore loop. Sites are huge, no problem getting our 35 foot units into them. 50 amp power and water (no sewer), fantastic restroom...More

If you have a large RV . . . we have a 35-foot fifth wheel trailer . . . you may want to avoid the campgrounds at this park. We were lucky to shoehorn our unit into the space we had reserved. The amenities in...More

This campground is the best I've ever been to, hands down! Such a beautiful place, nice sites, well treed, great boat launch and clean dump stations. Free hot showers. Washrooms were a little dirty, but your camping, not staying at the Hilton. Nice clean beach,...More

The staff love to heavily force ridiculous rules and the park is kinda in the middle of nowhere. There is a lake but you have to drive to get there if you have small kids.

Farragut State Park in Athol, ID is a hidden gem. As a former Naval Training Facility (bootcamp), Farragut has a long naval tradition. This is evidenced by a well kept museum in the former brig. We were particularly thrilled to have seen a family member...More

My wife and I camped here for one night on our way to Washington. We plan on going back, as one night was not nearly enough time at this campground. Very beautiful scenery and the camp host was very nice.

We spent three nights at Farragut State Park in site 50, which was very secluded. We thought the park was nicely located between CdA and Sandpoint, which is true, but be sure to consider what activities you will be doing. We ended up fly fishing...More

We left our tent trailer unattended but always lock up any thing of value in our vehicle. Felt pretty safe in the area.
